Michelle McKenzie (BSc, ANutr)

Registered Associate Nutritionist | Creator of The Regeneration Diet

Michelle McKenzie is a Registered Associate Nutritionist whose work sits at the intersection of metabolic science, longevity research and nervous system regulation and The Regeneration Retreat is the fullest expression of that work to date.

Michelle graduated with first-class honours in Human Nutrition from London Metropolitan University. In 2017, her research into low-carbohydrate approaches in diabetes management was published by Cambridge Journals and she was invited to present her findings at the Royal Society of Medicine — work that went on to gain national and international media attention and contribute to wider conversations around metabolic health.

Her expertise in diabetes and metabolism has been featured in Cambridge Journals, The Medical News, Science Daily and Diabetes UK. The Regeneration Diet and previous Regeneration Retreats have been featured in The Sunday Times, The Independent, Prima Magazine and The Evening Standard. Michelle's path into nutrition began in 2009, following a diagnosis of type 1 diabetes — a turning point that brought her back to academia after a decade in the music industry. That lived experience sits at the heart of her clinical approach, and shapes the way she works with every client: with both rigour and genuine personal understanding.

For over a decade, she has worked one-to-one with a wide range of clients — from members of her local community to Oscar and BAFTA-winning creatives — supporting metabolic health, gut health, fasting protocols, longevity strategies and lifestyle-related health concerns.

The Regeneration Diet itself — a structured five-day fasting protocol inspired by longevity research — grew out of Michelle's own post-viral recovery during the pandemic. What began as a personal protocol became a clinical framework, and ultimately the foundation for the retreat: a carefully designed environment for supported physiological reset, nervous system recalibration and lasting change.

''Participants leave with more than a reset. They leave with a deeper understanding of their own physiology, practical tools they can take home, and a renewed sense of what's possible for their health''
